You'll be involved in every aspect of operations as we expand rapidly!About the RoleThe Market Manager is responsible for the management of 8Fleet's operations in Los Angeles, including but not limited to: managing end-to-end operations, strategic planning, data oversight, business operations, and BD. This is an essential role that requires operational expertise, a deep understanding of the ridesharing industry, and a founder's mindset.This role will tackle key business priorities that amplify the growth of our business and facilitate operational excellence. Using strong operational and analytical experience from past environments, this person will tackle key projects that will be instrumental in driving our business forward. We need a strategic critical thinker who can start at 20,000 feet and then dive deep into the details to ensure high quality results.The ideal candidate will have a “doer” attitude, experience in operations, and be comfortable with fast-paced decision-making, have displayed leadership, and can provide open communication. This individual will be critical in helping navigate and grow the business, offering valuable insights and advice on strategic decision-making, implementation, and execution. You are passionate about finding creative solutions to challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesFleet Growth & ManagementOwn all financial and operational metrics to ensure optimal revenue and profit maximizationOversee the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including driver scheduling, dispatch, and performance monitoring.Manage vehicle maintenance and repair programs to ensure optimal fleet utilization and safety.Partner with the Growth team to develop and execute strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain a high-performing driver base.Financial PerformanceAnalyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement in profitability and operational efficiency.Develop and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize fleet profitability.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward achieving business goals.Driver Support & TrainingProvide ongoing support and training to drivers on industry best practices, safety regulations, and customer service.Foster a positive and supportive environment for all employees.Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.Conduct regular safety audits and implement necessary corrective actions.Successful Candidates Will Bring2+ years of operations management, business consulting, or related experience managing operations, building and developing teams, optimizing processes, and delivering business goals2+ years of people management experience, high EQ, and proven ability to deliver outstanding results through others in a timely manner using a strong sense of focus, organization, and meticulous attention to detailGoal focus with a strong bias toward actionEntrepreneurial hustle and proven self-starter with owner's mentality; some entrepreneurial experience is preferredData-driven mindset, strong business judgment, and proven ability to perform analysis, draw key insights, and form and execute a strategyStrong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships, manage a team, influence stakeholders, and inspire othersExcellent organization and time managementWillingness to get your hands dirty, lead by example, and motivate teams both through in-person and remote managementBA/BS with an impressive academic recordMBA or advanced degree is a strong plusExperience with ridesharing platforms (Uber, Lyft) is a strong plusAvailable full-time, on-site in Los Angeles (in-office 5 days a week)CompensationBase Salary Range: $105k-$120kPlus annual bonus and strong stock option awardEqual Opportunity Employer8Fleet is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
