Hepaco a Clean Harbors company in Norfolk, VA is looking for a MarineField Service Project Manager to join our team. The FSPM is responsible for managing large scale projects at a variety of customer locations. You will work directly with other team members, Supervisors, as well as the Branch Manager. You will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response (emergency spill cleanup), hazardous waste clean-up, vessel and fixed facility tank cleaning, shipping terminal responses (emergency spill and container cleanup), site-remediation (tank and pit cleaning), equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials

Responsibilities:
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Manages and oversees small to midsize, technically complex projects involving waste site clean-up and construction, building and equipment decontamination and demolition.
- Prepare proposals, including cost estimates and work scopes and schedules.
- Acts as an agent of business and is involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding the customer issues.
- Ability to provide timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
- Provides technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates and subcontractor selection and procurement.
- Enforce the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the districts health and safety record. Works closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or work equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental field services operations, marine industry, or related field.
- Knowledge of the marine industry.
- Preferred Emergency Response experience / Task Force / EPA / FEMA collaboration. Federal Government experience (DoD preferred) / County Government experience.
- Strong background in environmental remediation.
- Solid understanding of equipment operations.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
- Experience with cost estimating and computer systems.
- Ability to review and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Cost estimating and computer experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous emergency response experience required.
- In-depth knowledge of remedial technologies.
