PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Mesa, AZ for a 5-month contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Manufacturing Technician will support assembly operations for gun systems, including subassemblies and top-level assemblies. This role involves following detailed work instructions, using precision measuring equipment, supporting quality testing and rework, operating industrial equipment, and maintaining a safe, clean manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience working on manufacturing assemblies.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to qualify under the Safe Explosives Act as an employee possessor/responsible person upon starting.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to follow detailed operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to collect and record manufacturing data accurately.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work a 4/10 schedule and support overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanical background.
  • Experience reading prints.
  • Experience with Costpoint, MES, or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Forklift or crane operation experience.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with rework, bonding operations, quality testing, and manufacturing process support.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform manufacturing assembly of gun system subassemblies and top-level assemblies.
  • Work independently or as part of a team on assembly operations.
  • Follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
  • Collect and record production data as required.
  • Support setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing activities.
  • Operate industrial equipment such as cranes and forklifts as needed.
  • Use precision measuring equipment to verify correct positioning during bonding operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Participate in team activities focused on safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 4x10 schedule, Monday–Thursday.
  • 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
  • Overtime and some weekends may be required.

Pay

  • $31.41/hour
