Job Summary:

Entegris is currently seeking a talented and motivated Welder to join its Gas Operations production team in Danbury, CT. This person would work independently on product component fabrication using weld equipment in a glovebox environment. Additional responsibilities include test and inspection of various components needed for multiple product lines, as well as other tasks as directed. The person in this role would take direction from a team lead and report directly to the Production Supervisor. Danbury Specialty Gas Operations is a dynamic and fast paced environment where safety is paramount. This candidate would be someone who enjoys being part of a strong team, is dedicated to continuous improvement, and has some experience safely working with hazardous materials or processes, while maintaining a focus on meeting and exceeding production goals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Support development of in-house weld process for product components in a glovebox environment.

• Support production demands of welded components including manufacture, data tracking, quality checks, packaging, and shipping to third party vendors.

• Support test and inspection requirements for various assembly parts as needed.

• Safely operate and maintain weld and test equipment proficiently.

• Follow Entegris qualified welding programs, work instructions, and engineering drawings.

Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

• Mechanically inclined

• Ability to work with hand tools, powertools and fixtures in a glovebox environment.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Experience with SAP, Microsoft office.

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

• Formal Education: High School Dipolma or GED

• Certifications: N/A: Certification will be acquired onsite

• Years of Experience/Type of Experience/Industry:

• 3+ years as a manufacturing tech or experience in a manufacturing environment where you had to process and complete work orders per a production schedule.

• Experience in orbital welding preferred.

• Experience with grinders, band saws, facing machines and tube cutters.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and/or standing at a work station

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
