Manufacturing Technician
Location: HIgh Point
Pay Rate: $24–$26 per hour (DOE)
Shifts Available:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Technician role is a technical position just below a Maintenance Technician level. This individual will support production operations through equipment setup, chemical batching, troubleshooting, quality monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts. Experience with chemicals/dyes, blueprint reading, and a textile manufacturing background are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production lines and machinery while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Prepare and batch chemicals; manage machine startups and post-dip operations
  • Cover process operator absences as needed
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve efficiency
  • Troubleshoot production equipment and perform calibrations, testing, and modifications
  • Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
  • Monitor product quality and adjust processes to maintain standards
  • Maintain wastewater treatment systems and environmental records
  • Update production process control documentation and provide productivity reports
  • Assist with training new employees and support process improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams
  • Support new product validation and commissioning
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma required
    • Preference for candidates with a college diploma, trade certification, or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, GMP, and 5S/Kaizen environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Textile industry experience strongly preferred
  • ISO 9001 experience is a plus
  • Welding and machining experience is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally; valid passport required
