Provides leadership and supervision to production work teams and serves as the link to plant management for the team. Facilitates team meetings, intervenes as necessary to keep the team's goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the team members to develop their full potential. The shift supervisor, in conjunction with the team, is responsible for team member safety, product quality, productivity, equipment condition, and department housekeeping.

  • Responsible for compliance with all facility food safety, food defense, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs)/Sanitation policies and procedures. Employee must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of their work area in support of SQF/5S and other company standards.
  • Enforces and supports safety procedures to meet departmental and plant safety goals in coordination with the Safety Manager.
  • Promotes and safe work environment and ensures compliance with SQF, HACCP, and Food/Safety Defense standards.
  • Participates in SQF root cause analysis, corrective actions, audits, validations, and addresses customer complaints as needed.
  • Identifies and reports unsafe conditions or customer concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversees daily shift operations, including scheduling, material handling, and issue resolution.
  • Leads, trains, and supports team members to ensure quality standards and production goals are met.
  • Manages personnel matters, including discipline and performance support.
  • Acts as a liaison between team members and management to ensure effective communication.
  • Assists with problem-solving, product testing, and development activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience

  • The Shift Supervisor must be a leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.
  • Must be quality conscious and customer oriented.
  • 3+ years in leadership role.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED is required.

Pay Range: $68,900.00 - $91,800.00
