Manufacturing Site Operations Leader

Picture your day: you start on the floor, opening with a quick safety walk and a daily huddle where KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and retention are front and center. You spot a bottleneck, engage a frontline supervisor, and set a rapid countermeasure. By mid-morning, you are partnering with EHS, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to align schedules and priorities. After lunch, you host a Kaizen burst focused on waste elimination and standard work. You wrap the day reviewing the operational budget, checking inventory accuracy and materials availability, and preparing a transparent update for employees, peers, and leadership. Some days end at a local school or community event where you help build the plant’s reputation as an employer of choice.

What you will own

  • Reinforce discipline, consistency, and accountability through standard work and reliable processes.
  • Manage staffing, succession, and talent development across all shifts to meet production demand and build leadership depth.
  • Coach and mentor frontline leaders to improve decision making and team performance.
  • Advance the company culture by driving engagement strategies that reduce turnover, improve morale, and sustain productivity.
  • Translate corporate and regional strategies into clear plant objectives, leveraging technology, data, and CI methods to safely improve KPIs.
  • Oversee inventory control, materials management, and fulfillment accuracy to support production goals and exceptional customer service.
  • Create, manage, and adjust the operational budget based on business needs and market conditions.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with EHS, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to align plans and schedules.
  • Communicate plant performance consistently to employees, peers, and leadership for transparency and shared accountability.
  • Contribute to regional initiatives and enterprise projects that advance manufacturing excellence and align with corporate priorities.
  • Engage with local organizations, schools, and events to strengthen community ties and enhance employer brand visibility.
