The new plant is set to open in the winter of 2025. 

Primary Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will have direct responsibility for designated plant production department(s), which encompasses leading and driving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Process Improvement and employee development.  Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain positive working relationships with hourly production employees.  This includes building strong, interactive teams, fostering employee engagement, mentoring through listening, coaching and performance reviews, training and onboarding and reducing employee turnover to achieve plant objectives.

Manage daily production and schedule requirements for assigned departments and ensure a consistent flow of work through the department. 

Ensure safe working conditions and/or habits of area employees, through identification and correction of any safety concerns/issues, safety training, conducting safety audits of the area, and conducting accident investigations for all accidents in area of responsibility.

Ensure assigned department achieves quality goals to meet NVRs Brand Promise.  Review quality standards and processes regularly and make recommendations on improvements.

Support plant leadership with recommendations of improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, quality standards, efficiencies, and safety/working conditions.

Partner with plant Maintenance department to ensure production areas are functioning at a high level and minimize downtime.

Work with plant support operations, such as Materials, Scheduling and Logistics, to ensure a balanced schedule and consistent flow of material into assigned production area.

Determine appropriate staffing needs of the department, manage hourly attendance policy, and ensure accuracy of timekeeping and attendance system. Make recommendations and support plant management in hiring, disciplinary, and termination decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution, and conduct employee investigations, as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of progressive leadership experience(manufacturing preferred)

Bachelors degree preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent planning and organizational abilities

High energy and ability to multi-task

Ability to adapt to changing demands

Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills

Reliability and initiative to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional team environment.

Ability to coach and develop others

Strong customer orientation

Ability to travel to other plants and locations, as needed
