Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor / Operations Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing value stream within an electrical and industrial production environment. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations from raw materials through finished goods delivery, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time performance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in manufacturing or construction-based electrical environments with a deep focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream, including waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream, regularly monitor and report on performance metrics, and implement data-driven decision-making processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream, fostering accountability, teamwork, and growth, and providing coaching and support to enhance skills.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards; implement and maintain quality control procedures.
- Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands and ensure a stable, cost-effective supply chain.
- Contribute to strategic planning for long-term manufacturing goals, identifying opportunities for capacity expansion and technological improvements.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with 7+ years of experience.
- Proven leadership experience within manufacturing, focusing on value stream management.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Exposure to computer screens for extended periods.
