Manufacturing Plant Electrical Technician

What’s the opportunity?

We’re hiring a 2nd-shift technician to support electrical infrastructure and factory equipment. You’ll assemble, install, maintain, and repair systems—and even fabricate specialty units for measurement, control, and communications.

• Competitive hourly pay: $25.00–$35.00

What you’ll tackle

• Interpret maintenance specs, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Lay out and install electrical wiring, controls, communications, circuit breakers, transformers, and associated equipment.
• Diagnose failures and repair systems to meet specifications.
• Complete and maintain accurate company records.
• Adhere to and promote safety rules and practices.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting to resolve equipment and system issues.
• Execute preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend system life.
• Apply knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
• Fabricate purpose-built assemblies for measurement, control, and communications.

Must-haves

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Background working in a manufacturing environment.
• No relocation assistance; candidates must be within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice-to-haves

• State Licensed Journeyman.
• 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
• At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on capability with: Welding/Fabrication; Piping systems; Electricity; PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); Process control instrumentation; Process equipment; Personal computing.
