Manufacturing Plant Electrical Technician

What’s the opportunity?
We’re hiring a 2nd-shift technician to support electrical infrastructure and factory equipment. You’ll assemble, install, maintain, and repair systems—and even fabricate specialty units for measurement, control, and communications.
Why this role?
- Consistent schedule: 3:00 pm–11:00 pm
- Competitive hourly pay: $25.00–$35.00
- Pay is determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications along with market and business considerations.
What you’ll tackle
- Interpret maintenance specs, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Lay out and install electrical wiring, controls, communications, circuit breakers, transformers, and associated equipment.
- Diagnose failures and repair systems to meet specifications.
- Complete and maintain accurate company records.
- Adhere to and promote safety rules and practices.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting to resolve equipment and system issues.
- Execute preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend system life.
- Apply knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Fabricate purpose-built assemblies for measurement, control, and communications.
Must-haves
- High school diploma (or equivalent).
- 3 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Background working in a manufacturing environment.
- No relocation assistance; candidates must be within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Nice-to-haves
- State Licensed Journeyman.
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on capability with: Welding/Fabrication; Piping systems; Electricity; PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers); Process control instrumentation; Process equipment; Personal computing.
