Basic understanding of project and manufacturing engineering to support projects with requirements related to manufactured hardware.
A background in metallurgy, joining operations, coatings, and additive manufacturing techniques are a plus but can be learned on the job.
Understanding of fundamentals of turbomachinery and importance of interfacing rotating/static hardware as it relates to engine operation.
Ability to interpret models & drawings (CAD skills preferable).
Ability to work with suppliers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to make technical presentations internally and to customers.
Education and Experience:
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2 to 5 years of similar engine experience, automotive, jet engines, or related field
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Office and/or manufacturing environment.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, mouse, phones, rotating wrist, using tools/equipment).

General Job Summary:
We have immediate openings for Developing level Manufacturing Operations Engineer with a 2 to 5 years of related or similar turbomachinery, gas engine experience, jet engine, automotive and the like. The vision for the role is one of ever-increasing responsibility and growth to eventually become either a technical expert or IPT Lead.
Essential Job Functions:
• Support integrated product teams (IPTs) by setting up and maintaining Bills of Materials (BoMs), managing internal & external manufacturing-related activities, and maintaining external supplier relationships. • Interface with Quality Engineering to ensure that products and non-products are compliant with company quality procedures and to disposition any non-conforming material. • Serve as interface between purchasing, design, manufacturing, and quality. • Set and execute project schedules, provide weekly status, and determine solutions for non-conformances. • Interact with suppliers & document lessons learned for improved design-for-manufacturing. • Other job duties as assigned.
