As the Manufacturing Methods Engineer & CNC Programming Lead, you’ll bridge day-to-day production control with hands-on CAD/CAM programming and process planning. You’ll coordinate shop-floor activity, generate CNC programs and computerized route sheets, and drive techniques that cut part cost while raising part quality.
Morning starts with the production schedule: you align priorities, coordinate machining activities, and confirm that route sheets and toolpaths are ready. On the floor, you jump in to troubleshoot with machine operators, adjust programs, and keep work moving. Midday is for building new CNC programs, issuing tooling orders and requisitions, and partnering with tool designers to predesign fixtures. Afternoon is about root-cause work—reducing scrap and rework—plus safety walks, housekeeping checks, and ensuring ISO 9000 requirements are followed where applicable. You’ll also collaborate with Product Engineering to resolve quality, manufacturing, and design challenges.
