We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead flagship operations at a medium-sized, 24x7, non-union chemical processing facility. This role is responsible for driving production performance, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a strong safety-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met
- Manage and develop a team of supervisors and production personnel, with 8 direct reports and up to 60 indirect
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes
- Continue to encourage and enforce Process Safety as daily culture
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Partner with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational issues and improve plant performance
- Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet performance targets
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Support capital projects and process optimization efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; strong preference for Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a Manufacturing Manager role
- Strong preference for polyurethane manufacturing experience and / or extrusion manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a medium-sized plant environment
- Strong knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary: $145,000 – $165,000
- Bonus potential up to 20%
