Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Manager will oversee all aspects of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that production is running smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing the production team, monitoring production processes, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the production team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
- Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and quality control, to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Analyze production data and present reports to upper management
- Develop and manage department budgets
- Stay current with industry trends and technology advancements to continuously improve processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a management role
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with budgeting and cost control
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
