Their site near Spring Grove, IL serves top names in the medical equipment space, and due to growth, are seeking an experienced Production Manager.
Description
- Lead daily production operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Promote a safety‑first culture by managing Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), Job‑Specific Training (JST), retraining, and documented safety conversations.
- Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to implement procedures, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
- Ensure effective containment and escalation of non‑conforming product and drive process consistency to reduce scrap, rework, and expedited freight.
- Oversee start‑ups and set‑ups, ensuring clear accountability across shifts.
- Partner with cross‑functional leaders to resolve operational challenges, support on‑time delivery, and create action plans aligned with customer and facility goals.
- Communicate daily expectations to supervisors and track progress toward safety, quality, cost, and productivity targets.
- Support budgeting and long‑range planning, including staffing and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Develop and coach supervisory and technical teams through regular feedback, goal setting, and talent development activities.
Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with plastic injection molding highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and experience using ERP, MES, or similar production systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred but not required, depending on experience.
Job Offer
- Base salary ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 depending on experience
- 10% annual bonus incentive
- 3 Weeks PTO + 1 Week personal time
