Manufacturing Maintenance Technician III - 3rd Shift
Department: Maint/Engineering, Solutions

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician III is an advanced-level maintenance professional responsible for independently troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing complex equipment and facility systems. This position serves as a technical resource for the maintenance department and provides guidance to junior technicians. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to: 
  • Independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process equipment issues. 
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, control systems, and production equipment. 
  • Safely troubleshoot live electrical systems and perform advanced electrical repairs. 
  • Support PLC and VFD diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting. 
  • Lead major maintenance projects, equipment installations, and machinery modifications. 
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions. 
  • Monitor equipment reliability and recommend process improvements that reduce downtime and increase efficiency. 
  • Assist with maintenance planning, PM optimization, and parts management activities. 
  • Provide technical training, coaching, and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II employees. 
  • Ensure compliance with all GMP, OSHA, FDA, FSMA, BRC, and company safety standards.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred. 
  • 5–8 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. 
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, controls, motors, conveyors, boilers, and facility systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. 
  • Experience with CMMS systems, PM programs, and maintenance KPIs. 
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize work, and mentor less experienced technicians. 
  • Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask
  • Ability to work in a packaging area with a moderate powder substance in the air, with or without a respirator
  • Ability to work above the shoulders
  • Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement
  • Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
  • Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
