Title:               Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic II
Location:        Clackamas, OR 97015
Duration:        03 Months Contract
Shift:              3rd shift/graveyard 10pm to 6: 30 am 5 days a week 8 hours a day.( The worker must be open to working at least one weekend day, and overtime.)
Pay Range:     $30.00/hr. To $35.00/hr. On W2
Description:
  • As a Maintenance Mechanic II you will be ensuring the operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and completing preventative maintenance.
 
Main Responsibilities
  • As a part of a Union environment, our team is looking for an individual that can be flexible during their probationary period. Specifically, with scheduling, you may be asked to work nights, weekends, or holidays, with appropriate notice.
  • You may be asked to function within multiple areas of the plant.
  • Here is a list of most of the responsibilities that may be asked of you:
  • Observes all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP and Global Food Safety practices
  • Lockout/Tagout Procedures
  • Changeover, repair and troubleshoot all plant production equipment
  • Identification of complex problems with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic issues on all associated equipment (conveyors, compressors, chillers, programmable controllers (VFD/PLCs), robots, boiler and waste water);review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Able to understand and complete Preventative Maintenance based on Preventative Maintenance schedules
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Responsive to maintenance requests in a timely manner and complete maintenance reports as required
  • Maintain plant equipment to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as require
  • Ensure spare parts or services are ordered as required
  • Implement operational improvements (spoilage, downtime, line speeds, etc.)
  • Train others to operate equipment and produce products safely and efficiently
  • Maintain organization of spare parts
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
  • Complete special projects and duties as assigned
  • Continuously monitor and physically inspect production equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary
  • Dismantle and reassemble machines to fit or replace necessary parts
  • Rebuild/ fabrication of equipment
  • Welding mild and stainless steel (sanitary welding)
  • Complete work orders
  • Maintain logs and records
  • Investigates electrical and instrument equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair required
  • You have knowledge of fabrication, machine shop tools, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
  • You have ability to read and follow schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints
  • LME (Limited Maintenance Electrical) License preferred
  • OSHA 10/CPR nice to have prior experience
  • Prior experience operating pallet jacks or fork lifts. Previous forklift certification preferred. Will be certified before allowed to operate at client facility.
