The position drives continuous improvement by investigating new manufacturing methods and equipment, and leads capacity expansion and capital equipment projects.Key Responsibilities And AccountabilitiesDevelop facility layouts to optimize workflow, material movement, safety, and space utilizationCoordinate facility modifications, expansions, and infrastructure improvements with Supply ChainOversee machine shop equipment performanceLead equipment reliability efforts and resolve breakdownsIdentify manufacturing equipment needs based on production requirementsResearch, evaluate, and select equipment suppliers and integratorsImplement and maintain a strong preventative maintenance program, including spare parts inventorySupport production with technical problem-solving and the introduction of new processes and equipmentAssist in reducing manufacturing errorsPartner with production teams to identify and implement best manufacturing practicesResearch industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve manufacturing methodsLead corrective and preventive action initiatives, including resolution of customer complaintsImplement error-proofing strategies to ensure product quality and accurate assemblySupport Supply Chain and Engineering in evaluating suppliers, components, and equipment from a manufacturability perspectiveEssential Qualifications, Experience, And SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) or equivalent experienceMinimum 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with power or power conversion products across prototyping, commercialization, and productionExperience in engineer-to-order, configure-to-order, or custom manufacturing environmentsExperience selecting, procuring, and installing capital equipment, including project managementCertification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar methodologies preferredExperience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 quality and environmental systemsPromote and support a safety-first cultureIdentify risks early and implement preventive measuresCollaborate with Corporate Safety as neededStrong commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProven success implementing new processes, equipment, and toolingResults-driven with strong initiativeResourceful, innovative, and energeticStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsStrong project management and organizational abilitiesCompensation range: $85,000 – $95,000 USDUpon request, we will provide reasonable accommodation for disabilities to support participation of candidates in all aspects of the recruitment process.
