What impact will I have?
You’ll be the go-to expert ensuring safe, reliable power and controls for production equipment, building systems, and the grounds. From diagnosing motor control issues to deploying NEC-compliant solutions, you’ll keep uptime high and hazards low.
What will I work on?
- Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery alongside mechanics and supervisors.
- Maintaining and tuning servo-driven systems—amplifiers, controllers, and related automation hardware.
- Installing and servicing low- and high-voltage circuits (24V–480V) across plant and facilities.
- Reading schematics to diagnose motors, starters, and device-level controls.
- Repairing sensors and solid-state devices to restore process reliability.
- Executing conduit work: bending, routing, sizing wire/conduit by distance and FLA, and terminating to spec.
- Partnering with contractors and vendors; identifying and ordering parts from manuals and prints.
- Coaching teammates, documenting work, and communicating clearly—written and verbal.
- Actively hunting down and resolving electrical issues throughout the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do I need to bring?
- License: Journeyman or Master Electrician (Massachusetts) required.
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or at least 5 years of relevant experience/training; or an equivalent mix.
- Know-how: NEC fluency; complex manufacturing experience preferred.
- Tools of the trade: Skilled with 24V–480V power systems, schematics, motors/motor controls, and automation hardware.
- People skills: Team-oriented mindset with the ability to guide peers and collaborate with vendors and contractors.
How am I compensated?
Pay: $38.00-$48.47 an hour.
