Role OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineering Technician is primarily responsible for process development and optimization in CNC machining (vertical and horizontal machining centers) and secondary departments. The Technician will program CNC Machining Centers, implement automation, quality integrity, fixture and tooling design, HSE, and continuous improvement to assist in achieving the operations goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Work EnvironmentOnsite in Plymouth, MN. Monday – Friday, with some flexibility in daily work schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as liaison between design engineering and production for all processes, tooling, documentation and programs used in the manufacturing of products both in production and new product development, including:Process development and deploymentApplication of tooling for machiningMachining and inspection tooling selectionNonconformance investigationWork instructionsInspection documentationCreate and implement machining process specifications (tool cards).Utilize problem‑solving abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead‑time reduction, and quality improvement through defect reduction.Implement automation to reduce human involvement in repetitive tasks.Address any line‑down events in a timely manner.Maintain and coordinate the calibration of inspection equipment.Other duties as assigned.Critical Competencies for SuccessHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related field desired.3–5 years related experience with demonstrated ability to improve processes and profitability in a machining environment.Experience with machining processes.CAM experience required.Experience using Lean Manufacturing techniques.Strong mechanical aptitude with effective troubleshooting ability.Proactive and self‑motivated.MS Office experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.Must speak, read, and write in English.Pay Range$30 – $40 per hour. Pay is determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications relative to the job requirements.
