Job Summary

Plans, designs and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources and structural design Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements

Essential Functions

Provides technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility. Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment. Documents test procedures and results. Solves routine technical problems.

Required Qualifications

Required education and experience:

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years experience
• Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred education and experience:

• Associates Degree
• Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred

Physical Requirements

• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
• May need to stand for long periods of time.
• Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
• May be requested to work a different shift.
• This position is Safety-Sensitive.
