Manufacturing Engineer, Zone Lead, Optimus

In this role youll drive the development of efficient high-quality manufacturing lines and processes for Optimus and Energy Products at our Fremont factory. From early design through full-scale production youll work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment to shape the future of AI robotics and energy technology.

Develop and validate manufacturing equipment fixtures and processes to support early-stage prototype builds

Determine and procure equipment that is necessary for all manufacturing processes used to build the product

Work with equipment integrators to design and manufacture equipment and fixtures for medium to high-volume production

Manage suppliers during specification design buyoff and installation of manufacturing equipment

Perform process analysis DOE PFMEA line balancing activities and capacity modelingsimulation

Provide DFM design for manufacturability input to design team for process and yield improvements

Create detailed manufacturing instructions to train technicians and line operators on new processes and equipment

Solid experience as a hands-on MechanicalManufacturingDesign Engineer working on mechanical andor electromechanical systems

Experience using 2D cad tools for conceptual line design AutoCAD and 3D design for mechanical equipment fixturing and tooling SolidWorks or CATIA

Experience with conveyance transducer-based fastening systems Atlas Copco preferred robotic systems Fanuc or Kuka preferred adhesive dispensing laser welding or automated functional testing

Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment

Experience providing Design for Manufacturability DFM and Automation DFADegree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
