We are seeking local candidates only for this position.This is a hands‑on role for an engineer who thrives on the production floor — optimizing processes, improving machine performance, and driving measurable operational gains. A degree is not required; experience in sheet‑metal manufacturing is essential.What You'll LeadProcess optimization — Improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) across fabrication operations.CNC programming — Program and optimize fiber lasers, turret punches, and CNC press brakes to reduce cycle time and maximize material utilization.Data‑driven improvement — Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions that increase throughput and reduce downtime.Lean/CI initiatives — Lead 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and standard work improvements that drive measurable operational gains.Documentation excellence — Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation.Equipment integration — Support installation, startup, and integration of new equipment, tooling, and automation systems.Cross‑functional problem solving — Collaborate with operators, maintenance, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement sustainable solutions.Capital planning — Provide technical input and cost justification for equipment purchases and process upgrades.Workflow optimization — Support ERP/MES systems to improve scheduling, resource planning, and production flow.Performance tracking — Track and report OEE, scrap, cycle time, uptime, and other key metrics.What You BringHands‑on experience in sheet‑metal fabrication — laser cutting, punching, forming, or related processes.Strong understanding of fabrication workflows and high‑volume production environments.Experience programming fiber lasers, turret punches, and CNC press brakes; familiarity with nesting software and material optimization.Working knowledge of CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.A Lean mindset — CI tools, structured problem solving, and data‑driven decision making.Ability to manage projects and collaborate across operations, maintenance, and engineering.Clear communication with both shop‑floor teams and leadership.A degree is optional — proven experience in metal fabrication is what sets candidates apart.Why This Role Stands OutWork inside a high‑volume, multi‑process fabrication environment where your improvements have immediate impact.Join a mature manufacturing organization with strong Lean culture and continuous investment in technology.Influence equipment strategy, automation, workflow, and process performance.Build your career within a nationally recognized leader in fabrication.#J-18808-Ljbffr
