Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Westbrook, CT
Compensation: $85,000 - $110,000 + competitive benefits package
Role Overview
We are seeking a driven Manufacturing Engineer with 2-5years of experience to play a key role in bringing new products from concept to full-scale production. This is a high-impact position where you will partner cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to design efficient, scalable manufacturing processes and solve complex production challenges. Job Description:
- Lead the transition of new products into manufacturing, ensuring processes are efficient, cost-effective, and repeatable
- Develop and implement improvements in automation, tooling, fixturing, and manufacturing methods
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies to enhance production capability and performance
- Collaborate closely with design engineering to improve product manufacturability and reduce cost
- Analyze manufacturing processes, perform time studies, and develop production estimates for new and existing products
- Troubleshoot machining and assembly challenges, driving root cause resolution and continuous improvement
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, test reports, and specifications
- Support training and guidance for production personnel on new processes and best practices
- Partner cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or process development
- Solid understanding of machining, assembly processes, tolerancing, and mechanical systems
- CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Exposure to automation, tooling design, or process optimization is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across teams
