We strive to provide customer service that goes above and beyond the standard.Job OverviewThe Manufacturing Engineer Technician plans and supports manufacturing systems involving material flow, automation, fixturing, work content balancing, design for manufacturability, and supports future growth through capacity enhancements.ResponsibilitiesDetermines processes, fixtures, and tools needed to produce quality parts to customer specificationsAnalyzes layout of equipment and workflowReview design renderings/prints and provide design for manufacturability feedbackWork with internal personnel to resolve production issues, both cost and quality relatedSupport lean initiatives for process improvement on the shop floorDevelop standard workGenerate flat prints from models for machine specific requirementsStrives to understand a high level of all functional areas of manufacturing processes and actively brings forth ideas for process improvement according to company objectives.Interact with teams of design engineers, operations, and project managers, to secure deadlinesIdentify current state work center capacity bottlenecks within manufacturing and develop plans to realize future state demandAssist in processing engineering change notices to the manufacturing floorAll other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociates degree with relevant work experience and/or production floor knowledgeMinimum two years of manufacturing engineering experience with knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (certificate a plus), sheet metal fabricating, welding, and/or assembly experience.Experience with parts flat generation and prep work for part files for machine runs, as well as fabrication processes, methods, and programmingAbility to read and understand shop printsBasic understanding of setting up manufacturing routesUnderstanding of material flow methods (push/pull systems)Lean or six sigma training, experience or certification a plus, but not requiredCritical thinking, logic, and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problemsKnowledge and use of computers and Microsoft Office softwareProven ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, across all levels of the organizationPrevious experience with PDM Vault or Windchill database programsDesign for manufacturability exposureLeadership ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Travel RequirementsThis position does not have travel requirements.At Robinson, we value professionalism, expertise, and a dedication to craftsmanship.
