PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Clearwater, Florida for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role designs manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies. The Manufacturing Engineer will support the production floor, work with operations, and focus on continuous improvement while ensuring processes and procedures comply with regulations and specifications.
Required Skills
Experience designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies.
Ability to interpret engineering prints to design manufacturing processes.
Ability to work with design engineering to implement production improvements.
Experience supporting the production floor and working with operations teams.
Ability to design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
Ability to incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans.
Ability to inspect machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency.
Ability to investigate problems and deficiencies and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality.
Ability to provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements.
Knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
Ability to ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations and specifications.
Preferred Skills
Cable harness experience.
Process writing experience.
What You’ll Do
Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for CCA and module assemblies.
Interpret engineering prints to design processes.
Work with design engineering to implement production improvements.
Support the production floor by working with the operations team.
Focus on continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes.
