Manufacturing Engineer

Primary Responsibilities: \nCreate, Develop, Document, Implement, and Improve processes and procedures used tomanufacture, assemble, process, and/or test the Company\u2019s products in a manner to ensure company business objectives are meet. Leads and participates in projects to improve delivery, quality, and/or cost, which requires coordinating activities with other functions. Projects may include methods, processes, machine designs, tooling and equipment, new manufacturing technology, and performance monitoring systems. \nDuties:\n \nActively promoting and applying our Lean Manufacturing philosophies, concepts, and methodologies within the production implementation and manufacturing improvement process. \nCost reducing existing manufacturing, methods, processes and materials. \nDesigning, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes for new/changedproducts; taking concepts and information from Design Engineers, and transformingthis information into a manufacturing process that capably produces product that meets the design intent, is cost effective, effective and efficient. \nActively participate in new product/process development projects, taking over theleadership of the projects, as they are released for implementation. Required knowledge and experience includes:a. Hydraulicsb. Pneumaticsc. Electronic interfaces and systems, such as LabVIEWd. PLC Programminge. Automation \nDeveloping, documenting, distributing, and helping train employees on new processing equipment, tooling, materials, and methods for assembly, sub-assembly, and machining processes. \nDeveloping, documenting, and maintaining manufacturing process capabilities andcapacities. \nWork with Tooling and Maintenance Departments on maintenance requirements todevelop preventive maintenance schedules, and qualify tools using statistics \nSpecifying, justifying, requisitioning, and implementing new capital equipment,including ROI estimates \nDeveloping and maintaining production routings, process sheets, and work instructions. \nCreate and update information in the ERP systems such as rates, routings, instructions, adding tools and fixtures to BOM\u2019s \nDefining, refining and improving existing manufacturing processes.o Use Lean Methodologies and 6-S Principleso Use of Six Sigma Toolso Investigating automation concepts, options, costs, and ROI \nRefining and improving existing production layouts and materials flow. \nDefining, designing, implementing, and supporting tooling and fixtures.\n \nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned;\n \nProvide technical assistance to the production floor \nParticipate in new product design and development meetings \nVerify and release new tooling and fixtures \nTrain new manufacturing engineers to create and maintain product masters, structures, routings, and process sheets \nTrain production personnel on new manufacturing processes \nLead and/or participate in Internal Audits and Corrective Actions \nLead and/or participate in APQP Meetings \nCreate and update PFMEA and Process Flow Charts\n \nOther Responsibilities: \nThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. \nQualifications: \nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential dutysatisfactorily, and follow all applicable policies, procedures, work instructions, safety rules, and regulations. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university; and two to fouryears related experience and/or training. Experience using MS word, MS excel, MS access,Outlook, Minitab, ERP software. LabVIEW experience is a plus. Must be able to read part and assembly drawings/prints.
