Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (THIS POSITION IS ONSITE IN LIBERTY, KY)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and enhancing operational efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and support manufacturing systems that meet Tarter's production goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process improvements, including Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure the manufacturability of new products.
  • Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
  • Assist in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes and technologies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the agricultural or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and production methods.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
