Manufacturing Engineer II - Portable Metrology # 26-08327

Position Description

• Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms and high volume scanners.
• Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
• Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing.
• Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes.
• Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues.
• Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers.
• Reviewing inspection data and assisting in the development preventative action plans.
• Retrieving quality data and communicating results and statuses to internal and external customers.

• Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience using PolyWorks software.
• Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
  • Portable CMM
  • Laser Tracker
  • High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)

• Engineering experience with relevant applications in a defense environment.
• Specialized technical knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical design.
• Knowledge of assembly processes.
• Experience with PTC Creo, SolidWorkds or other modeling software.

• Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience using PolyWorks software.
• Experience using the following measurement/inspection equipment:
  • Portable CMM
  • Laser Tracker
  • High Volume Scanner (ex. Surphaser)

• 4 year technical degree or relevant experience.

• Second Shift (3:15 pm to 1:45 am)
