It includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, and optimize supply chain logistics specific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate is results‑driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high‑quality standards. The role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. By leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, the engineer will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques and ensuring Blue Origin's continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.Position Specific DetailsMultiple positions availableShifts: B | Mon‑Thu (3 pm‑1:30 am), C | Fri‑Sun (5 am‑5:30 pm), D | Fri‑Sun (5 pm‑5:30 am)Location: Space Coast, FLRelocation: AvailableKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the industrialization of new tank assemblies including welding, inspection, proof test, surface coatings, and integration.Contribute to design for manufacturability, design for assembly, and design for test.Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams.Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods such as composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, and advanced assembly.Support root cause analysis of process or product non‑conformances; develop and implement corrective actions.Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO9001).Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.Identify and complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.Team Focus & Domain ExpertiseLunar Operations play a crucial role in the successful deployment and operation of Blue Origin's Lunar vehicles. This division collaborates closely with engineering, quality assurance, and logistics teams to guarantee that the vehicle meets all mission requirements and performs flawlessly in the challenging lunar environment.Minimum QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related field) from an accredited university.3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (or lawful admission as a refugee or asylum seeker).Ability to work second shift and flexibility to move shifts as needed; open to extended hours if required.Preferred QualificationsExperience in high‑rate assembly lines for aerospace or automotive.Experience with aluminum welding, non‑destructive testing, surface coatings, and proof testing.Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.Experience with bill‑of‑materials and BOM reconciliation.Prior manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or automotive.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and principles.Experience with AS9100 quality standards.Culture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
