Job Summary:

is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing production processes to ensure goods are manufactured efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. They bridge the gap between product design and final production, focusing on reducing waste and improving quality.

  • Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve manufacturing workflows to enhance speed, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Production Support: Provide daily technical troubleshooting for equipment failures or process disruptions on the shop floor.
  • Tooling & Equipment: Design or source specialized tools, jigs, fixtures, and workstations to support assembly and operator safety.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S to eliminate waste and optimize resource use.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with design engineers to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Quality & Standards Control: Review test procedures and ensuring the final product meets IEC/IEEE standards through routine tests.
  • Lean Implementation: Leading Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma initiatives to enhance factory capacity and minimize production bottlenecks
  • Collaboration: Working closely with design, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure new products are manufacturable and that equipment downtime is minimized
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCFA): Using tools like 8D or FMEA to investigate production defects or testing failures.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is typically required.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software like Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory and production planning.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC programming.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse team

Preferred qualification

  • Coil Winding: Expertise in setting up and operating Winding machines
  • Standards Compliance: Strict adherence to IEEE/ANSI/IEC codes and ISO 9001 quality frameworks.
  • Attention to Detail: Crucial for inspecting static ring positions and spacer alignments, where a millimeter's difference can cause a catastrophic failure.
  • Insulation Processing: Mastery of vacuum drying and oil impregnation to remove moisture and ensure dielectric strength
  • Final Assembly: Overseeing the tanking of core-coil assemblies, lead connections, and vacuum oil filling
