Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract with a client in Greensboro, NC. The ideal candidate with experience designing mechanical components, supporting production processes, and driving manufacturing improvements to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost performance.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $48/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Manufacturing Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and production-ready engineering drawings using CREO 8, AutoCAD 21, and related design tools.
Create, maintain, and manage BOMs, engineering change notices (ECNs), and product release activities through Windchill PLM systems.
Support prototype builds, functional verification activities, and product validation to ensure design performance and manufacturability.
Drive manufacturing process improvements, cell redesign initiatives, and lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational waste.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues, develop assembly procedures, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Identify opportunities for product redesign, cost reduction, standardization, and production optimization while ensuring compliance with engineering and manufacturing requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
3-5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, Product Engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
Strong proficiency in CREO 8, AutoCAD 21, and Windchill 12 with experience in mechanical design, assembly modeling, engineering drawings, BOM management, and ECN/ECO processes.
Proven experience supporting manufacturing operations, prototype development, production optimization, lean manufacturing initiatives, cost reduction projects, and continuous improvement programs.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $48.00 per hour
