This position strives to provide an environment for continuous improvement and target achievement for their team of responsibility and throughout the facility.Living the Owens Corning Safety Stand - Living SafelyEnsures a safe and environmentally compliant workplace where safety is a first priorityLeads by example through hazard recognition and eliminationDelivery to Customer and BusinessBeing a subject matter expert on the critical product characteristics required to provide our customers with a quality productDeveloping and implementing procedures and systems to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectationsSupporting trials for new and existing products to ensure they meet our customer's fitness for useCoordinates with upstream and downstream processes to meet production demands aligning people, raw material and machine capacitiesProcess PerformanceSupport the TPM process through Daily Management and participating in AM area or Pillar Teams as required.Accountable for ensuring process is run to specifications utilizing SPC controlPlans and executes Planned Maintenance shutdown work for Operations coordinating with the Planned Maintenance pillarThis position will be primary point of contact for line issues and management as needed.Support plant maintenance and operations teams in system and equipment troubleshooting and in technology transferPerforms root cause analysis in partnership with key stakeholders to address quality issues, implementing sustainable corrective actions for process shifts or upsetsAnalyze product and process data to optimize performance. Identify and implement process improvements and best practices with the goals being enhanced safety, enhanced functionality, and improved efficiency.Leading and developing talentEducate primary employees in the manufacturing process and process control proceduresEngage team members to collaboratively own the success of the business by contributing to continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, cost, productivity, etc.Recognizes and rewards positive behaviors and contribution to critical plant performance metricsEffectively communicates critical plant performance metrics to team members daily to ensure engagementMonitors and enforces all plant and corporate policies and proceduresLeads Continuous Improvement ActivitiesLeverages standard work to minimize variation and wasteLeads Focused Improvement activities to improve process capability and efficiencies, reduce costs, and eliminate wastePartners with relevant stakeholders to optimize the process and drive continuous improvement initiativesParticipates in and leads TPM, Kaizen and 5S events in various work areas throughout plantEssential QualificationsExperienceBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline and 2 or more years technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment or 5+ years progressive technical experience in a Manufacturing Environment.Eligible for work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
