Our client is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI), process development, and production readiness for electro‑mechanical systems. This role bridges design and manufacturing, ensuring that processes are robust, scalable, and aligned with product requirements.


The ideal candidate is comfortable interpreting complex Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and collaborating with cross‑functional teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for TDP‑related questions.
  • Support supplier onboarding, technical training, and production troubleshooting.
  • Define and optimize assembly and test processes for electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Support root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness, and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Supplier Engineering, and R&D to align on technical requirements.
  • Interpret and clarify Technical Data Packages (drawings, GD&T, PCBA schematics, BOMs, specifications) for internal teams and suppliers.
  • Lead NPI support: transition products from development to production, develop/validate processes, tooling, fixtures, and assembly methods.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of NPI and DFM principles.
  • Experience working with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Strong understanding of electro‑mechanical assembly processes.
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, PCBA schematics, and BOMs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and manufacturing data systems (PDM, Autodesk Vault, SW Composer)
  • Experience with multiple manufacturing processes: CNC, injection molding, sheet metal, 3D printing, composites.
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, preferably with electro‑mechanical or defense/aerospace systems.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process‑improvement training.
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and electronics‑manufacturing best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro‑mechanical systems.

Additional Requirements:

  • Occasional travel to suppliers or partner sites.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
