We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, and production optimization to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CREO 8, AutoCAD 2021, and Windchill 12, along with a strong understanding of sheet metal, plastics, machined components, assemblies, and lean manufacturing principles.

This role involves designing and validating mechanical components, managing engineering changes, supporting prototype builds and production, and driving manufacturing process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for dispensers, payment units, and related products using CREO 8.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings for sheet metal, machined, plastic, and solid components using AutoCAD 2021.
  • Build and maintain product configuration models and engineering documentation.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), product structures, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Windchill 12.
  • Support prototype development, product testing, and functional verification of designed units.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop assembly procedures and resolve production issues.
  • Drive product redesign initiatives focused on manufacturability, production optimization, and cost reduction.
  • Lead manufacturing process improvements, including production cell redesign and workflow optimization.
  • Implement lean manufacturing methodologies to improve throughput, reduce waste, and standardize production processes.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with CREO 8 for 3D modeling and mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2021 for drafting and documentation.
  • Experience using Windchill 12 for PLM, ECN management, and BOM management.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, plastic, machined, and solid component design.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds and production engineering activities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process optimization and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Client Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in automotive, industrial equipment, electronics, payment systems, or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturability), GD&T, and root cause analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and production ramp-up activities.
