Description The Manufacturing Engineer develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods to achieve superior quality, lower product cost, and greater efficiency. Applying knowledge of design, materials, fabrication, welding, paint processes, tooling, and assembly standards, this role spans two core functions: driving production excellence on the assembly floor and supporting new product development from prototype through launch. You will work closely with design engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure every product can be built safely, efficiently, and on time.About the Role The Manufacturing Engineer develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods to achieve superior quality, lower product cost, and greater efficiency. You will work closely with design engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure every product can be built safely, efficiently, and on time.Responsibilities Create and continuously improve standard work practices for equipment assemblyLead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in productionProvide Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) guidance to new product development project teamsSupport new product introductions from prototype procurement through production launchCoordinate with engineering, production, project managers, and supply chain to meet project timelinesDesign equipment, processes, and shop layouts for maximum efficiency and flowRecommend and implement cost reductions and functional design improvementsPartner with quality and shop floor teams on root cause analysis and problem resolutionManage production bills of material (BOMs) and support material requirement planning (MRP) systemsEnsure all changes comply with ergonomic and safety standardsTrain employees as needed across production and assembly operationsOther duties may be assignedRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent engineering field)3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience or education in electrical or hydraulic system troubleshootingAbility to read electrical and hydraulic system schematicsAbility to read and understand design drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, SolidWorks, CAD software, and ERP/MRP systemsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications Hydraulics, Pneumatics, or Electrical Systems certificationsExperience with sheet metal fabrication and CNC machiningKnowledge of welding science and best practicesExperience with MS Project or similar project planning softwareExperience with ERP material and routing setupPhysical Requirements & Work Environment Split time between office and production floor; substantial time on the factory floor requiredMay occasionally exert up to 35 pounds of force with assistance; frequently up to 10 poundsMay push, pull, lift, carry, grasp, or otherwise move objects as neededSafety glasses, ear protection, and safety shoes required within the factory environmentMust be able to climb onto and under mobile equipment to access mechanical and electrical components#J-18808-Ljbffr
