We are immediately hiring a practical, mechanically inclined MANUFACTURING ENGINEER to support our largest manufacturing facility at our Corporate Headquarters; 400 ARDEX Park Drive, Center Twp., PA 15001.

This is a hands-on role focused on improving and maintaining equipment reliability, optimizing manufacturing processes, and leading plant-level engineering initiatives.

We are seeking an individual who is comfortable working directly with production equipment, enjoys troubleshooting and problem-solving directly on the plant floor, and brings a solid foundation in both mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for daily plant operations, equipment reliability, and production processes
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process—from raw material receipt through packaging of finished goods
  • Lead and execute small-to mid-size capital and process improvement projects.
  • Support larger-scale engineering projects
  • Manage the plant’s computerized maintenance management system
  • Assist with environmental compliance, regulatory reporting, and sustainability initiatives
  • Monitor plant waste streams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at waste reduction and operational efficiency

Required Experience:
  • 3 years plus experience in a hands-on engineering or technical role within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; experience working with industrial equipment
  • Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative working style

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds occasionally.
