We are hiring for one of our trusted clients seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays.

About the Role

  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, tooling, and engineering teams
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for equipment vendors and suppliers
  • Participate in design reviews to improve manufacturability and reduce production costs
  • Develop manufacturing documentation including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and work instructions
  • Support troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and automated production systems
  • Ensure tooling and equipment meet production, timing, and quality requirements
  • Support preventive maintenance initiatives for production equipment
  • Drive quality improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams supporting plant initiatives and new product launches

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Equivalent experience will be considered
  • 4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing manufacturing processes and production improvements
  • Strong project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience working with equipment vendors and coordinating machine installations
  • Knowledge of:

  • Process Flow Diagrams
  • Control Plans
  • GD&T
  • IATF 16949
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metal stamping, press room operations, or metal forming
  • Experience with stamping presses and stamping tooling
  • Understanding of automated manufacturing systems
  • Experience working with Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot automated manufacturing equipment alongside maintenance or controls teams
  • Electrical or automation background
  • Experience supporting equipment commissioning and machine integration
  • Experience working with robotics, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, or industrial automation is a plus
