Manufacturing Engineer Automotive

As an integral part of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for devising efficient production processes for new automotive products. Your expertise will guide the specification and procurement of essential manufacturing tools and equipment. By establishing process flows and manufacturing metrics, you will enhance our operational efficiency. Utilize your knowledge to develop Process FMEA and conduct cost analysis to determine the viability of in-house production versus outsourcing. You will apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to refine processes and reduce expenses while resolving technical challenges related to process effectiveness. The role also involves facilitating seamless product transitions from concept to full-scale production and designing effective training programs for our workforce. Additionally, you will formulate and assess preventive maintenance strategies.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, with a strong preference for experience within Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive settings. Demonstrable skills in communication, computer applications, including MS Office and CAD software like AutoCAD, ProEngineer, or SolidWorks, are required. Additional expectations include a solid track record in tooling development, vendor liaising, working with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma tools, and managing complete manufacturing processes. Familiarity with TS16949 standards and successful project management experience is also advantageous.
