DescriptionKratos IndustriesArvada, COReports to: Sr. Director of OperationsPay Range - $95,000.00 - 125,000.00 - based off prior experienceHours - M-F 7:30 - 4:30Position OverviewKratos Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead BOM validation, kit readiness, and production process definition within our advanced electrical equipment manufacturing operations.This role will focus on ensuring engineering output is accurate, complete, and executable in production, with primary responsibility for, but not limited to:BOM validation and alignment (Engineering to ERP(JobBoss) to physical build)Kit readiness and verification processesProduction process definition and build sequenceWork instruction developmentEngineering-to-production integrationMaterial and pick list accuracy tied to production sequenceIn-process issue resolution tied to design or BOM gapsWe are specifically seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who has worked directly in production environments, not solely supporting design, but ensuring product is buildable, repeatable, and aligned to real assembly conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesBOM Validation & Material AlignmentValidate BOMs at job release to ensure alignment between engineering models, JobBoss, and physical build requirementsIdentify and resolve alternates, gaps, and inconsistencies prior to kit releasePartner with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure pick lists reflect true production needsReduce material-related disruptions during assembly buildsKit Readiness & production Start StabilitySupport development and enforcement of formal kit verification processesEnsure kits are complete, accurate, and build-ready prior to releaseDrive improvements in clean start performance across all production linesProduction Process DefinitionDefine how products are built at the line level, including build sequence and key constraintsEnsure processes reflect actual production conditions and flowPartner with leadership to align process with layout and material presentationWork Instructions & Process DocumentationDevelop clear, operator-focused work instructions tied to validated BOMs and actual build flowPrioritize critical-to-quality steps and known failure pointsSupport transition from tacit knowledge to structured, repeatable processesProduction Support & Issue ResolutionAct as first-line engineering support for assembly-related issuesParticipate in Tier 2 escalation and drive closure of BOM, material, and process-related problemsWork directly with technicians and leaders to resolve build issues in real timeContinuous Improvement & Cross-Functional AlignmentIdentify gaps between engineering output and production executionImprove BOM structure, material flow clarity, and process definitionPartner with Industrial Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to improve first-pass yield and reduce reworkRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly-focused engineering rolesBOM validation and material alignmentWork instruction developmentAssembly process definitionProduction support in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (JobBoss or similar)Experience working in industrial equipment, or other high-precision manufacturing environmentsPreferred QualificationsExperience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated success reducing production disruptions tied to BOM or material issuesExperience supporting kitting strategies and material readiness processesStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principlesExperience working closely with Assembly, Supply Chain, and Quality teams in a production environmentProven ability to improve build quality and consistency through process definitionIdeal Candidate ProfileDetail-oriented with strong ownership of accuracy and executionComfortable working on the shop floor dailyStructured in thinking with strong problem-solving capabilityAble to translate engineering design into clear, executable stepsEffective at working cross-functionally to resolve issues quicklyFocused on building processes that enable stable, repeatable productionWhy Kratos Industries?Kratos Industries designs and manufactures advanced electrical equipment solutions serving industrial and infrastructure markets.
