2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Note: Only candidates who are eligible to obtain a Secret level security clearance, or who currently hold an active Secret level security clearance or greater, will be considered.As part of the eligibility requirements for obtaining a security clearance include being a U.S. Citizen, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data, and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.• Create/edit models and drawings using SolidWorks.• Create/edit routings, work cells, and BOM's using SAP software.• Design various fixtures for process improvements.• Review engineering drawings for manufacturability; review Engineering Change Orders.• Partner with design engineering to provide input in the manufacturability of product and drive through production.• Create and optimize work cells and shop floor utilizing LEAN principles, tools, and methods.• Adhere to company practices and ISO processes.• Interpret system and product design requirements to ensure conformance to functional, customer, and manufacturing criteria.• Interface internally with facility staff and management.• Interface externally with customers and vendors for information exchange.• Provide technical support to internal and external customers.• Communicate effectively (written and oral) with personnel, customers, and vendors.• Support and uphold the organization's mission, values, and culture.• Follow all quality and safety standards.• Support other projects and duties as assigned.Secondary Duties:• Participate in cross-functional teams and work groups.Supervisory Responsibilities:• No direct supervision; may assist interns.Qualifications:To succeed, candidates must perform all duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.Experience / Skills / Abilities:• Proficient in English (reading, speaking, understanding).• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering/Technology, or similar.• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.• Experience in product development from concept to production.• Experience with work cell layout and production line setup.• Experience in sheet metal and metal fabrication, including steel and aluminum alloys.• Knowledge of metal fabrication equipment, welding, and finishing processes.• Experience designing weld fixtures and assembly fixtures.• Knowledge of DFMA, time studies, and test reports is preferred.• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask.• Technical understanding of mechanical engineering processes.• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.• Basic knowledge of industry standards and codes (ISO, etc.).• High attention to detail and quality orientation.• Strong interpersonal skills for working with various stakeholders.• Proficient in standard business software.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Engineering and ManufacturingIndustries Defense and Space Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
