Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Application Engineer to support enterprise manufacturing systems within advanced automated production environments. This role combines IT systems support, manufacturing applications, and factory automation to help improve operational efficiency and system reliability across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with manufacturing operations, and supporting mission-critical production systems. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of information technology, automation, and modern manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Systems Support
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving manufacturing and IT systems
- Support manufacturing facilities by responding to technical requests and production-related issues
- Monitor system performance and ensure stability, reliability, and uptime
- Gather user feedback to improve manufacturing applications and automated processes
- Coordinate and support major system upgrades, implementations, and maintenance activities
Technical Support & Documentation:
- Prepare technical documentation, system reports, implementation plans, and procedural guides
- Provide technical recommendations based on customer requirements and system analysis
- Deliver training and technical support for standardized manufacturing applications
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors in a professional environment
Factory Automation Support
- Assist with implementation, configuration, and testing of manufacturing software
- Collaborate with automation and controls engineers to integrate manufacturing systems with production equipment
- Support on-site and remote troubleshooting of production-related issues
- Help optimize manufacturing processes through technology and automation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience supporting manufacturing systems, enterprise applications, or IT infrastructure
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases
- Manufacturing systems such as:
- MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
- WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
ERP systems- Material Control Systems (MCS)
- Factory automation or industrial software environments
- Manufacturing operations or production support
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual English/Korean is a plus but not required
