We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and scale our fabrication and CNC production operations. This role is responsible for managing all shop-floor activities, including CNC machining, sheet-metal fabrication, scheduling, work orders, and personnel, while focusing on process discipline, quality, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities
- **Shop & Production Leadership**
- Oversee daily operations of the fabrication/CNC department (waterjet, press brake, CNC punch/laser).
- Lead and develop machinists, operators, and fabrication technicians, including hiring and training.
- Establish clear KPIs and output targets for a self-sufficient manufacturing unit.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing practices.
Production Planning & Work Orders
- Create and maintain production schedules aligned with project needs.
- Generate and release work orders and routing documentation.
- Balance machine loading and labor resources to meet commitments.
- Coordinate material availability with procurement.
- **Process Development & Operational Excellence**
- Develop standardized manufacturing processes and SOPs.
- Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define utilization targets and cycle-time benchmarks.
- Prepare for scalable growth with automation.
Engineering & Quality Interface
- Act as the primary liaison to Engineering.
- Provide feedback on new designs and lead resolution of NCRs.
- Support prototype builds and drive documentation improvements.
- **Equipment & Technology Management**
- Oversee operation and maintenance of fabrication equipment.
- Manage tooling and machine capability development.
- Plan future equipment investments.
- **Business Unit Ownership**
- Develop cost models and labor standards.
- Track productivity and efficiency metrics.
- Drive profitability and cost control within operations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in manufacturing or fabrication operations leadership.
- Experience managing CNC machining or sheet-metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes.
- Proven ability to manage shop personnel and implement processes.
- Hands-on, floor-oriented leadership style.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Amada fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methods.
- ERP/MRP experience for manufacturing planning.
- BS in Industrial Engineering or related field (preferred).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
