LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Accountant to join our growing manufacturing client's team in Oklahoma City, OK. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate product costing, analyzing variances, and supporting inventory valuation and financial reporting. You'll partner closely with operations and finance leadership to drive cost accuracy and operational efficiency. This is an onsite role, standard work hours Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead; perform cost roll-ups

  • Analyze purchase price, usage, labor, and overhead variances; present insights to leadership

  • Evaluate manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

  • Support inventory valuation, including cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliations

  • Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

  • Prepare and analyze cost-related financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual)

  • Compare actuals to budget/forecast and investigate variances and trends

  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash reporting related to cost activities

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls for costing and inventory processes

  • Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate BOMs and routing

  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial policies

  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum 2-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard costing methodologies

  • Experience with variance analysis and inventory valuation

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, INDEX/MATCH, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS)

  • ERP experience required; Oracle or SQL experience preferred

  • Familiarity with BOMs and manufacturing processes is a plus

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality results
