Read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with tolerances. Perform fitting finishing and machining operations to achieve precise tolerances for sealing flow efficiency and structural integrity. Machine custom one-off components and replacement parts for specialized pump applications and field repair projects. Work with a variety of materials including stainless steel bronze cast iron and specialty alloys. Collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to support production testing prototype development and product improvements.Day to Day Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes mills and related machining equipment. Perform threading boring turning facing drilling and other machining operations. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with specifications. Maintain safe work practices and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized. Support production schedules while maintaining quality standards and attention to detail.This is a full-time opportunity.Required Skills & Qualifications Previous experience operating manual mills and lathes in a manufacturing or machine shop environment. Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Experience maintaining tight tolerances and performing precision machining. Knowledge of machining operations including threading boring turning facing and drilling. Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges. Ability to safely handle large and heavy industrial components.Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience machining pump components or similar rotating equipment. Understanding of pump systems and fluid dynamics. Experience working with stainless steel bronze cast iron and specialty alloys.
