Responsibilities
Operational & Staff Management/Leadership
+ Responsible for hiring, evaluation and training development of department team.
+ Oversees the day-to-day management of the department and department staff, establishing work assignments and schedules, setting expectations and reviewing staff needs.
+ Provides leadership to the technicians that encourages staff empowerment, decision-making and planning to ensure effective, efficient operations.
+ Utilizes available tools and data to measure and monitor performance related to quality of care, patient safety and patient satisfaction . Creates action plans for areas needing improvement.
+ Monitors and supervises implementation of the nursing process ensuring that documentation reflects the nursing process and compliance to appropriate practice guidelines.
+ Budget /Financial Management
+ Properly manages budget to ensure efficient utilization of dollars and FTEs.
+ Prepares yearly operational budget and capital budget
+ Ta kes initiative to contain/reduce costs.
+ Actively seeks and identifies strategies or sources of revenue enhancement.
+ Monitors monthly revenue, expenses and payroll.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Diploma from an RN program; BSN preferred
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a RN in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
