Role Overview
We are seeking a Managing Editor to oversee the daily editorial strategy and content creation for Criminally Obsessed, with a strong social-first mindset. This mid-level role is ideal for an editorial lead who is deeply immersed in true crime, understands what performs on social platforms, and is excited to be hands-on in shaping and producing content.
The Managing Editor will guide stories from ideation through execution with particular attention to how content is packaged, presented, and optimized for social audiences.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $97,500 to $130,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for a discretionary quarterly bonus, which would be awarded based on individual and company performance. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
