Major/Essential Functions

As the operational leader within the Office of Strategic Initiatives, this role is based onsite inLubbock, Texas, and provides oversight of healthcare facilities across multiple locations.
  • Strategic Leadership & Execution: Translate strategy into action; align healthcare sites with growth, quality, and access goals; lead expansions, partnerships, and site integrations; ensure a consistent care model and patient experience.
  • Operational Oversight: Standardize workflows across multiple healthcare facilities, optimize staffing and resources, and resolve capacity, scheduling, and throughput issues across facilities.
  • Financial Management & Accountability: Own financial performance of healthcare facilities to include managing budgets and controlling labor and supply costs.
  • Clinical Quality: Ensure adherence to evidence-based protocols; monitor key healthcare quality metrics; partner with clinical leaders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness; Manage risk, incident reporting, and corrective actions for improvement.
  • Talent & Leadership Development: Recruit, develop, and manage site leadership; drive development and succession planning; address performance issues across facilities through accountability and engagement.
  • Patient Experience & Community Engagement: Deliver consistent, high-quality patient experience across sites; address patient grievances; build relationships with community stakeholders and referral networks.
  • Performance Management: Use data and key performance indicators to monitor performance; benchmark performance across sites; and intervene promptly to address underperforming sites.  
  • Change Management & Execution: Lead implementation of new systems and initiatives; manage adoption and communication across sites.
  • Workforce Stability: Evaluate turnover trends, address key attrition drivers, and formulate intervention strategies. Develop internal talent to build high-performing, resilient teams to strengthen operational capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred in Health Care Management, Business Management, or a related field of study.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare setting and/or healthcare systems, as a clinic administrator or similar role.
  • Prior experience working in corrections.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Seven years of progressively responsible management experience is required. Education beyond the bachelor's level may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions.
