Primary Purpose
Evaluate and provide leadership for the secondary instructional program of the district and supervise secondary principals.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:Master''s degree in educationMid Management or Principal certification requiredCertified appraiser for the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) appraiser or other approved evaluation systemSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of curriculum and instructionAbility to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectivenessAbility to manage budget and personnelAbility to interpret policy, procedures, and dataStrong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Experience: Secondary principal experience required
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of secondary principals, coordinators, and employees to ensure effectiveness.Provide feedback on successful leadership practices, such as effective management of instructional staff, use of data, and establishment of school culture.Build the instructional leadership capacity of principals with particular focus on instruction, data analysis, aligned interventions, community, and culture.Establish expectations and accountability standards for all secondary principals.Establish a progress monitoring process with each secondary principal.Establish a clear collaboration protocol (Tripods) between the campus administration, directors/coordinators in curriculum and instruction, and the instructional coaches for each content area or discipline.Monitor the implementation of the RTI and SST processes at each campus.Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programs with curriculum and instruction staff, principals, and teachers, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.Monitor student achievement data and interpret, report, and act on results.Maintain currency in innovative and effective curriculum practices through professional reading.Attend appropriate professional development activities.Demonstrate skill in conflict resolution with administrators, parents, teachers, staff, and community.Create a culture of inquiry and mutual accountability.Visit schools on a regular basis to monitor day-to-day operations.Organize and coordinate districtwide programs.Manage budget and personnel.Demonstrate strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills.Collaborate with district and non-district entities to improve student outcomes.Represent Frisco ISD at different events and functions within the district and community.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional lifting and carrying (generally less than 20 pounds). May work prolonged or irregular hours. Ability to travel to multiple work locations as assigned.
