Managing Director, Client, Offer, Securities Platform & Data Management

Operational Services partners across Schwab to deliver on our service promise to clients while protecting firm and client assets. The organization drives scalability, efficiency, and best-in-class service in support of the firm's strategic priorities. At Schwab, innovative thinking and creative problem-solving empower our teams to challenge the status quo and help transform the finance industry together.

The Client, Offer & Securities Platform and Data Management team defines, delivers, and manages the core platforms and data supporting critical broker-dealer operations and client experiences, including account opening and maintenance, offer creation and management, client segmentation, trading, and asset servicing across channels and business lines.

The Managing Director, Securities & Offer Platform & Data will report to the Managing Director of Core Infrastructure & Specialty Operations. As a key member of the leadership team, this executive will lead a highly complex portfolio central to Schwab's broker-dealer operations and client experience, with responsibility for product and data strategy, platform modernization, and execution across Customer & Account Technology, Securities Reference Data, and Offer Order.

The role requires balancing transformation, resiliency, control, and scalability across deeply interdependent platforms while strengthening the product and data organization, building leadership capability, and enabling consistent, high-quality experiences aligned to the firm's strategic priorities.

Key Outcomes:

  • Business Strategy: Set and drive the strategic direction for the product portfolio, aligning priorities, investments, and execution plans to business objectives, operational scalability, and innovation goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead alignment across product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to accelerate decision-making, remove barriers, and deliver integrated outcomes across the product lifecycle.
  • Communication Management: Own executive communications and operating transparency for the organization, ensuring leadership and key stakeholders have clear, timely, and decision-ready insights on performance, priorities, risks, and progress.
  • Data-driven Decision Making: Establish and use performance metrics, portfolio insights, and operational data to guide prioritization, improve outcomes, and drive continuous optimization across products and processes.
  • Resource Management: Optimize allocation of talent, capacity, and enabling tools across the portfolio to support strategic priorities, strengthen execution discipline, and deliver against critical milestones.
  • Quality Assurance: Champion quality standards and operational rigor across teams to ensure products and platform capabilities are reliable, scalable, and aligned to client and business expectations.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate, assess, and mitigate delivery, operational, and control risks, establishing the governance and escalation mechanisms needed to protect execution and business outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Ensure disciplined documentation, requirements clarity, and leadership reporting to support strong governance, informed decisions, and measurable operational improvement.
  • Strategic Portfolio Leadership: Own a highly complex portfolio foundational to Schwab's broker-dealer operations and client experience, balancing transformation, control, scalability, and resiliency across client, offer, securities, and data platforms while aligning senior leaders in a high-risk, highly interdependent environment.
  • Culture Advocate: Model and reinforce an inclusive, high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, talent development, and continuous improvement.
